Here at Murray River Salt we work closely with Government authorities to access brine from our Mourquong Salt Mitigation Basin as apart of the Salt Interception Scheme.

Managing salinity is one of the biggest challenges in the Murray-Darling Basin, if it is not properly managed the salinity will degrade the water quality, which will hinder plant growth, reduce biodiversity and negatively impact agricultural productivity.

By harvesting the salt from our Mitigation Site we are preventing 200 tonnes per day of saline water from entering the Murray River.
