You might think that Murray River Salt was founded

You might think that Murray River Salt was founded by a foodie family but that's actually not the case. While we do have a passion for food, Jan and Duncan started in the salt business to help preserve the environment.

From 1983, they realised that excess salinity in the water around the Murray Darling Basin could cause a problem for surrounding animal, plant, and human life. They helped work towards a solution with SunSalt and have continued the work with Murray River Salt.

Now Ailsa and Travis carry on their legacy as the family works together to preserve our great region.
