Viral Crispy Onions

Ingredients:

1–2 brown onions, thinly sliced
Olive oil spray
1 generous handful of grated cheddar cheese
1 handful of grated Parmesan cheese (plus extra for topping)
½ tsp onion powder
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp smoked paprika
Murray River Salt, to taste
Optional: Leftover scotch fillet or your choice of cooked meat

Method:

Preheat your oven to 180°C (fan-forced).

Line a sheet pan with baking paper and lightly spray with olive oil.

Sprinkle the cheddar cheese evenly over the tray.

Follow with a layer of Parmesan cheese.

Layer the thinly sliced onions over the cheese, making sure it’s fully covered.

Season with onion powder, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and a good pinch of Murray River Salt.

For extra indulgence, add some leftover scotch fillet and a final sprinkle of Parmesan on top.

Bake in the oven for approximately 20 minutes, or until the cheese is golden and crispy.

Remove from the oven and let it cool and harden for 10 minutes.

Serve it straight on the table – slice or tear it apart and enjoy with family and friends!
