Salt and Pepper BBQ Calamari

  • 700-800g Calamari, cleaned and pat dried.
  • 2 tbs Murray River Pink Salt
  • 1 tbs White pepper
  • 1 tbs Garlic powder
  • 2 tbs Olive oil
  • 2 tbs olive oil for basting.


  1. Clean calamari hoods and score or slice, then place aside in a bowl.
  2. Combine salt, pepper and garlic powder in a bowl.
  3. Coat calamari with olive oil and dry ingredients.
  4. Prepare and preheat BBQ for direct cooking on a grill grate. Med/high heat.
  5. Cook calamari over heat for 3-4 mins a side or until chargrilled. Brush once with oil halfway through.

Serve immediately with salad and fresh lemon Wedge.
